Can I Get My Criminal Record Expunged if Charges are Dropped? – Florida Attorney Jose Duarte
Listen as Jose Duarte discusses how you may be able to get your criminal record expunged if the state has dropped their charges against you.
An expungement means that your criminal record is destroyed and can no longer be located by anyone. In a previous case, my client was nineteen years old, and he was dating a fifteen-year-old girl. He was arrested. However, the charges were later dropped. He had previously attempted an expungement, but it was not done correctly. That is when John hired me to assist.
We completed the process together. This included submitting an application, getting fingerprints done, forwarding the package to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), and ultimately filing a petition for an order to have the records expunged. After this was done, John no longer had a criminal record. Watch the video to learn more.
