Police Officer Michael Slager Shoots Kill Black Man Walter Scott Multiple Times in Back. REACTION

EDIT. Now there’s Walter Scott dashcam footage thanks to KasuwellTV2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CbrrZ8RDXI

Unlike the Martin/Zimmerman and Ferguson incidents. Michael Slager won’t get off the hook for murdering unarmed Black Man Walter Scott. And my take on the race baiting going on in the media.

Story here. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3029597/Cop-charged-black-man-s-murder-opening-fire-eight-times-shooting-ran-away-saying-did-felt-threatened.html

Patrolman First Class Michael Slager, 33, shot Walter Scott, 50, in North Charleston on Saturday after pulling him over for a malfunctioning brake light.
Slager was charged with murder, a felony which carries a conviction of death or a term of 30 years to life in prison, according to a statement from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

In a statement carried by WFLA, Aylor said Scott “confronted Officer Slager, reached for his Taser, as trained by the department, and then a struggle ensued as the driver tried to overpower Officer Slager in an effort to take his Taser who then felt threatened and reached for his department issued firearm and fired his weapon.”
But footage of the incident shot by a bystander — and first obtained by the New York Times and the Post and Courier — appears to show a different set events.
The footage shows Scott being shot eight times as he attempted to run away.
The footage then shows Scott collapsing to the ground. The video then appears to show Slager dropping an object next to Scott’s body.
On Tuesday, Aylor announced that he was no longer representing Slager, calling the shooting death “a terrible tragedy.”

“The police officer who killed Walter Scott in South Carolina laughed about the adrenaline rush he was feeling, in a conversation that offers a new insight into his mindset in the minutes after the shooting.

Patrolman Michael Slager made the remarks during a discussion with a senior officer after fatally shooting Scott in North Charleston on 5 April. A recording of their conversation was obtained by the Guardian.” *

You stated that the media wants people fighting on social media. I only have one question to that statement. Who will argue in favor of this asshole cop? What stand could anyone take other than a man was murdered in cold blood by a police officer?

Of course the news here in America is talked about all over the world. Most are laughing at us!
I say this about the killings and beatings lately; most of them is NOT race motivated. The cops who shot, he/she would have done the same thing if the person where any other color, including white. And, don't you ever wonder why we hear about the cops shooting someone, only if that person is black? Never a white person. And, if u just look hard enough, you will see where plenty of white people are also shot by cops. I will say, maybe not as much. And our prisons have more blacks than whites, but, sorry people, I think that is only because there are more blacks doing the crimes. It's sad. We all came from God. Let us all love one another.
Mark my words, this, the media and "powers that be", they only do this for their own agenda. Divide and conquer.

If cops don't answer questions regarding a situation, then obviously You should not answer Any questions beyond who you are. Officer: ""where are you ccoming from?" You: "I respectfully do not want to answer any questions without the advice of an attorney." This should be your answer anytime you encounter police whether you did anything wrong or not

Ana get over yourself – isolating what 1.25 seconds of audio out of context doesn't make him a bad person (regardless of the rest of his story) it does make you a gutter journalist… if I look closely at your face I can see this whole sanctimonious act is covering something else… what is it? Why are you so sad? PS: Unsub.

they should waive the fees to remove your US citizenship if you're black, but either way I can't wait till I am no longer a US citizen.

One thing never mentioned here. Police are different than the general public in one crucial point. Police are REQUIRED to give a statement, whereas citizens may immediately stay silent and call for a lawyer. Since the police are required to give a statement– after what is a traumatic experience where they most likely are under the effects of adrenaline, and since they face charges in relation to the statement itself, the unions have negotiated processes for the way things proceed after a shooting. Is it fair, proper, does it need to be changed? Perhaps, but it is what it is currently. As for the laughter— molehill folks. People laugh for all sorts of reasons, nervousness, relief, fear, joy, the random thought that WOW, adrenaline is messing with me now! As for the statement this woman makes about the officer planted evidence– that is not actually a fact– that is her opinion!! I tend to think he secured the taser, dropped it again, then decided to secure it better– perhaps unaware himself he was even moving it around. There is a foggy condition that accompanies dramatic events and people who don't get into them, or have not been scrutinized after them rarely think about it. Nothing is as cut and dried as soundbites and short videos seem outside of the fuller context.

Not answering questions for a few days gives time to sort out your story, and to remember things better.  Moreover you have an excuse for inaccuracies in your story given the prevailing (and inaccurate) opinion that time to reflect makes an account less accurate than an account given right after an incident.
